Classes which take place inside will follow Covid secure guidlines and the venue Risk Assessment, this will include the use of face coverings/masks at all times (please provide an exemption certificate if applicable, at the time of booking).
To enable us to return to in-person classes, we need to introduce a number of changes, some of which may feel restrictive, but as a responsible business, we have a ‘Duty of Care’ to anybody we come into contact with, to maintain our own safety and the safety of others.
I am sure you can imagine that to work during the pandemic we need to have suitable safety protocols in place to reduce the risk of infection to minimum and this will mean classes will look very different from what we are previously used to.
Our risk assessment is based on the current CFSG guidance which can be found here:-http://www.cfsg.org.uk/coronavirus/_layouts/15/start.aspx#/ and is updated as the guidance changes.
I have listed the key points from our Risk Assessment below:-
I will postpone our class if:-
Please do not attend or you will be asked to leave the class, if:-
Please arrive in plenty of time and park to maintain social distance of 2m, both in the car park and while walking to the training area.
Please stay in your car until 5 minutes before the class starts, please give people time to leave the previous class.
After class, please leave promptly one at a time maintaining a social distance of 2m.
Please do not bring your dog on a flexi-lead. A fixed length lead will be required of approximately 2m.
To maintain social distance and keep cross contamination risks to a minimum, please do not let your dog’s meet on lead unless instructed by your trainer.
Please bring hand sanitiser and as a minimum sanitise your hands upon arrival and exit from the training venue. There will also be a hand sanitiser available should you forget.
Please stay within the marked working areas as instructed and avoid letting your dog’s meet in the hall unless instructed by the trainer.
I will at all times maintain 2m or 1m+ distance and will not greet your dog. (Please do not let your dog pull towards me, as much as I would love to say hello, I will have to move away).
If I need to take your dog’s lead, I will follow the established handover protocols and these will be communicated at the time.
Please supply and use a face covering or shield when inside the hall unless exempt, in which case please provide a certificate of exemption. please prepare your dog for seeing face coverings on others too by giving them lots of tasty treats while wearing them prior to arrival at the class.
All potentially contaminated wipes, gloves and masks etc that you use must be taken home with you and disposed of properly.
Please have plenty of tasty treats available and any equipment (toys etc) you may need to use.
Please supply your own chair (camping chair) and a mat (door mat) for the dog to work on.
There will be no toilets or café/Kitchen facilities available at the venues.
If for any reason we cannot access the hall, for example: extreme weather events (snow and Ice)or local lockdowns, we will provide the class online using Zoom. https://zoom.us
We will use the Met office weather guidance to provide the reference for our Risk Assessment and the subsequent decisions. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk
