About Puppy Stars: Puppy and Dog Training Academy

We Train Puppies, Dogs and their People

Unfortunately, dog training is an unregulated industry and this has meant that anybody can start up or buy a puppy and dog training business and offer training and behaviour consulting without any previous knowledge or experience.

Nick Honor, Clinical Animal Behaviourist (APBC) CTC Hons, Director of Training and Behaviour at Puppy Stars, has been training and behaviour consulting for many years, starting his own business in 2010. As well as being a Clincal Animal Behaviourist with APBC, and completing a rigorous 2-year training course with Jean Donaldson’s prestigious The Academy for Dog Trainers, which is considered by many as the Harvard of Dog Training, he regularly attends and updates his knowledge, skills and experience by attending numerous CPD events.

As Nick is a full member of the APBC, U.K APDT (01239) Victoria Stillwell Pet dog trainer (VSPDT) Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) Pet Professional Guild (PPG) Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) and a Fear Free Certified Animal Trainer, you can be assured that all of our classes are run to the standards expected by these organisations.

At Puppy Stars, we train both you and your dog using positive techniques that make learning exciting, fun, and motivating for everyone. Our family-friendly classes are lively and interactive and will guide you how to get the best out of your dog and understanding how they learn. Nick will guide you and your dog as you both learn together.

Our goal at Puppy Stars is to build fulfilling and lasting relationships between you and your dog. We love dogs, and we love helping people discover ways to understand, communicate with, and appreciate their dogs for a lifetime.

At our core is the fundamental belief that Puppy training is a critical part of every dog’s development, socialisation and learning. Not attending a well-structured puppy class is akin to not sending your child to school until they are 17.

Scientific research shows that many behaviour and temperament problems in dogs are predictable and preventable, however, prevention is not only easier but much more fun than curing problems. And that all starts at puppy classes…

During our classes we show you what to do and how to do it, so you can put it all into practice at home and on walks.

At the same time as training your puppy, you'll have fun, your puppy will learn socialisation skills and you'll get plenty of real-world hints and tips to help ensure a happy, well-balanced dog. Plus you'll receive our exclusive Weekly Training Plans, a certificate and a rosette and a free photoshhot at All People Photography in Launton (near Bicester).

Sometimes our dog’s behaviour may be a cause for concern and so we offer a professional behaviour consulting solution to help you when your dog’s behaviour is proving troublesome.
