A dogs ability to smell is quite remarkable; in fact it is their primary sense for exploring and navigating. Dogs "smell" their way around the world the way we humans "see" our way through it.
Our Fun Nosework class will unleash your dogs super sniffing nose as well as teach you how to better read your dogs intentions and individual communication style. The class will enhance your relationship with your dog and provides the necessary mental stimulation that helps keep dogs happy and stimulated. Teaching your dog scent-detection (to find a specific object or odour) is an excellent way for your dog to build confidence, burn lots of mental and physical energy and have plenty of fun, too!
Nearly all dogs have excellent noses, therefore, Fun Nosework is perfect for dogs of any age, size, breed-type, or personality. For this class we do not require that dogs have any previous training experience, although good manners are encouraged. However, your dog must be capable of being confined during the class, either in a crate away from their handlers or secured in a locked vehicle.
We work with all handlers at the same time but only one dog a time, which makes this an excellent class for dogs who are shy, dog reactive, or newly adopted. It is also a great class for dogs that need a lot of mental and physical stimulation and are eager to continue their training.
Fun Nosework will give your dog the opportunity to build confidence in new environments, and work around obstacles without the stress of interaction with other dogs.
