When people think of first aid, they often do not think about their dogs. Dogs have accidents the same as humans and knowing what to do should the worst happen, could literally be a life saver for your dog. Dog first aid is not aimed to replace veterinary care but it will help you to recognise an emergency, calm your dog and reduce the risks of delayed treatment.

During this 4-and-a-half hour Accredited and Certified course, Nick makes learning dog first aid fun and informative and he will give you the skills to deal with a dog emergency, should it arise. The course consists of both theory and practical elements.

Nick has worked in animal rescue for over 30-years and has a wealth of real life experience with a large variety of animals. During the course he will give you an insight into this world and practical applications of real First Aid.

Our approved Centre provides a recognised Certified Accreditation and Certificate that is valid for 3-years. This course is suitable for both Dog Owners and Professionals. Refreshments provided.

You will receive a Certicate in the post approx 1 week to 10-days after the course (depending on the postal service at the time).

I work with dogs and have to update my canine first aid certificate every 3 years and I have attended many first aid courses over the years with various providers. I have to say that Nick's course is definitely the best one I have ever attended. He really made me think about what he was saying and with his animal rescue background, he made it 'real' and got us all thinking about what we would do in the event that we needed to use first aid on our/our clients dogs. I usually find these courses boring, but the 4 and half hours whizzed by and I really enjoyed the course - thanks Nick :)

Thank you for being patient and making the course material clear for me as I struggle sometimes as I’m autistic and have ADHD so struggle with attention. Very friendly, lovely sandwiches. Excellent Course.

I’d highly recommend this course to anyone who owns a dog as it’s great to know I’m prepared, should the worst ever happen! Thank you so much Nick, I’ll definitely be back!! 😉

The First Aid course I attended was led by Nick. It was conducted in a very professional manner but at the same time very relaxed. Nick is very clear and explains everything in an easy-to-understand fashion. The demonstrations of how to give CPR were very enlightening and then to be able to practice on the artificial dog, along with showing where to feel for pulse was super. Another major instruction that I found useful was actually how to apply dressings in various locations of a dog's body. I would thoroughly recommend this as a basic course in First Aid.

Just wanted to give you some feedback for the first aid course. I thought it was a brilliant course and that Nick delivered it really well. I like the fact that Nick shared his own experiences with us and encouraged us to share our own experiences and ask questions. I particularly like the way we were encouraged (but not forced) to have a go at the CPR and rescue breaths as to be honest this is something I was quite nervous about. I am so glad I was made to feel comfortable enough to have a go as I really found it beneficial and it has given me the confidence should I ever have to do it in real life. Thanks very much to you and Nick for a great day 😊
